I've been enjoying the break in weather. After having sever storms for 2 weeks straight, I've been enjoying some much needed riding. Between that and work, I've been fairly busy.
I took this from my patrol car the other day. This track has a train running on it about every 15 minutes or so.
Within the first few months of working as a deputy, I was dispatched to a vehicle vs train accident. The agent assigned to the accident sent me this challenge coin for working...
I carry a Glock 27 in a leather OWB holster around the 4 o'clock position (kidney carry). It's what feels comfortable and it conceals easy being a skinny guy. Working in law enforcement, it's rare for me to leave the house unarmed.
Welcome to VOG!
As far as I know, there were no factory mounts made for a rigid frame. I don't know that I've seen a Terraplane mounted to a rigid frame, yet. If you want to spend the money, DMC Sidecars would probably be your best bet for getting mounts for the frame. Or you could do custom...
Went back to the museum today and actually spent some time looking around. I was also able to learn about some of the bikes in there.
One of the motorcycles in there is a Wood motorcycle. It was a gentleman that manufactured one motorcycle, hoping to get into production and never made it...
Was doing a little work of my Sportster today... a knife decided to slip and slice my thumb open. It was fun until that happened. Got it bandaged up and went right back to work.

It's located in Augusta, KS and the admission is free, they just ask for a...
Here is a picture of a 2005 Sportster with a Windjammer III on it; this was taken from Craig Vetter's website.
I could see some clearance issues with how mine is currently built, parts are easy enough to change if it comes down to it. I do have quite a few projects at the moment, and this...
Don't get me wrong, I do like how it looks without a fairing. The idea of a "baby bagger" has always intrigued me, thus the idea of putting a fairing on it. Unlike a lot of Harley riders, I do enjoy riding with my full face helmet.
I did find a Quicksilver fairing on the local Craigslist and the price isn't terrible. It would probably be a better size for the Sportster, however I'm not very fond of the square headlight.
I was able to get the Sporty a temp tag; which of course I'm in my long work week with only 2 days off. I've always like the look of 'baby baggers' or 'Sport-glides.' There were a couple of topics on the XLForum with guys asking about mounting a windjammer; so I know it can be done.
I think...
