It cleaned up pretty nicely. I hadn't noticed before, but those four screws on the inside, beneath the headlight adjuster, suggests that it has the optional horn kit. You would have to check inside to say for sure. You might be able to see them through the slots in the turn signals. If you...
If I recall correctly, the CycleSound was the original. It was designed and made by a friend of Craig who had an independent company, but was considered an 'authorized accessory.' The badge on it said something like "CycleSound by Vetter." When Craig sold the company, the new owners knocked...
Nice Rooster. It might be helpful if you shared roughly where you are located to better connect with potential buyers. An ask price would help, too.
Best of luck,
Ken
Happy I could help. They used to be very much in demand, but everyone nowadays has Bluetooth in their helmets (myself included). I have two CycleSounds sitting on my shelf that I probably should put up for sale.
Since his accident, Craig is slowly phasing out his website. His online store is pretty much gone, but he still has a lot of information available, including original mounting instructions.
His webisite is www.craigvetter.com.
Here is a direct link to the CycleSound instructions...
That bike is the perfect candidate for a Windjammer! You are going to love how it changes the riding experience.
That radio enclosure was sold under two names, "Cycle-Sound" and "Vetter-Sound." Very easy to swap out the radio with anything that is single DIN size.
That Windjammer is in...
If Rob doesn't want that mounting bracket, I might be interested. I, too, am in the middle of refurbing a tail trunk that came without the H-shaped piece that secures it to the luggage rack.
Ken
Let us know what part of the country you are in. As Kynan pointed out, Windjammers have been out of fashion for a while, so they are not in high demand. I am a bit of pathetic Windjammer collector/rescuer. Yours is a later model, I would guess made shortly before Craig sold the company...
I never noticed that I hadn't posted any. I just added a new thread to the Vetter Motorcycle Projects & Pictures section. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
Here are just a few pictures from the restoration. You can see the notes I left myself on some of the ziplock bags.
The last picture is one of my favorites. This is the kind of thing my wife often finds in the kitchen when she gets home, and she never complains. Once she came home to find...
Someone asked about pictures of my bike. I was surprised I hadn't posted very many at all. So, here is my 1978 Suzuki GS550. I bought it about 2009 and tore it down to every nut, bolt, and screw...except I didn't need to tear down the engine. I reconditioned every part myself, and sent the...
That is awesome. You never find them in that condition. If I had a use for it I would be all over it. Hope you guys can connect. If so, I want to see pictures of the finished bike.
Ken
Yes. That is me. I've just spent the last 45 minutes reading your FB page. It looks like you had it rough right from the start. I wish you fast healing, and hope you get a second shot at your trip.

I've been thinking about doing something similar to mine. The later versions actually had a slit there. How hard was it to sew through the material?
Ken
It does make it rather heavy, and most of the liner is musty and in poor condition, so I am going to remove it when I restore the trunk. It is interesting though. I may put in a lighter and simpler replacement.
