I was chasing down yet another electrical gremlin on my xs1100. Had the whole bike apart so I decided to install the fairing again.

I removed it a while ago to lighten the load because I was riding out east and I may have needed to take a dirt road. Didn't want to risk the fairing and weight.

So here's Excelsior!

It's so great having it back on! Just a nice slight breeze on me the entire way to work. No pulling my shirt up... No handlebar pulling from a sail connected to it..

I also have the little headlight visor installed. AND I fixed that crack I had in the fairing.

I have two different housings...Havent decided what to put in em yet. One functions with an oldschool tape deck it came with though...I wanna do what you did and make a hidden bluetooth system.

When you want to embark on that project, let me know. I will give you all the info. Working on mine this weekend! I am finally getting some time after the move.

I've been looking into modern Shaft style radios... But... I want one that is marine.

My bike doesn't have a shelter for it... Just a cover. Plus... I ride in basically all weather.

So I've really been holding off on the sound system till I find something ridiculous durable.

The only shaft style modern radio that I have seen as a main stay is the Pyle, click here to check out on eBay

If you need a radio cover I have a bunch of new ones. They look like the orig, just don't have the marking, although they are same manufacture.

I like to look of the vintage decks, that why I did the hidden modernization.
