I would like to hear from other members on how they improved the headlight beam pattern and light on a Quicksilver fairing. I also notice the headlight seems to loosen-up and I constantly need to raise it back up.
I'm presently running a Bosch 5x7" rectangular headlight which I found on Ebay:this is the one that's H4 w/ a removable bulb and I have a 55/60wt halogen bulb with a P43-T base. I don't want to run any more wattage than 55/60watts considering I'm already using the running lights & everything else connected to my stock 191wt. charging system.
I feel this Bosch #0301 019 100 042 lamp is very good, but originally designed and produced for an automobile and it doesn't focus the beam in the same way which I'm used to with my Candlepower round 6 3/8"/161mm? 'motorcycle specific' H4 bulb which fits my stock headlight case.
I Like Running This Quicksilver and I Want More Light.
I WANT MORE LIGHT !

I've got to get More Light up front !

Well there is this guy on youtube, he says he's running the headlight bucket from a CB550, so that gives lots of options.

Another idea is to wire in a relay with a fuse and a new circuit straight from your battery to be sure your headlight is getting full battery voltage.

I appreciate that Alan, you're the only one who's answered me on this;even uploading images from my phone seems impossible on this site.
I imagine there must be other Quicksilver owners who have found a way to install a more compact headlight into the space that was designed for the 7x5" Vetter steel headlight 'bucket' w/ it's factory side mounts.
I have been searching for a 7x5" headlight bulb who's lense was originally designed for a motorcycle;running an automotive headlight lense at night is dangerous and I've got to locate a compact/powerful H4 headlght to fit into the Quicksilver headlight space.

I'd like to hear from Quicksilver owners on this forum if possible.

I bought one of these housings from Amazon

replaced the headlight connector with a ceramic one for better heat resistance

and installed a 130/90W bulb

It's pretty bright. Plus I have a LED light bar on the front of my Terraplane sidecar.

As mentioned above, I also am running the headlight from fused battery via a relay. On high beam, the bulb is drawing 10+ amps. You don't want that going through the handlebar dimmer switch.
