Started riding in 1975 and bought this bike new in '76:

I eventually put a Pacifico fairing on it. Jump forward 30 years and I have gotten back into bikes. I recently picked up this '76 KZ900 LTD:

Love it, but would like to take a trip on it so I found this whole set including WJ IV, lowers, bags and trunk (which needs a lid, if anyone has one laying around):

Looking forward to luggin' this 600lb. beast around....

Welcome to the forum. I just love the looks of a mid-70's KZ! Several lids listed on FleaBay and not very expensive either. Are you going to keep it white or match the bike?

At some point the bike will get a cosmetic restoration, including a correct paint job. I was going to see how the white looks with the current color before deciding on painting the Vetter stuff.

What a great set of photos. Wasn't the KZ 900 an original CHIPS bike when done in the police issue? I think they started on 900's and then the police bikes ended up with the 1000's.

Well thank you for the welcome. Yeah, the KZs saw a pretty long stint as chp bikes and were on the show.
