Hi everone, I am new here and want finish outfitting my 1981 Honda CB750K and want to know if anyone has the Vetter Saddlebags and trunk for sale or know where I can find them. I have seen some things on ebay and might end up there, but I thought I might check here too. Also, if anyone can give me what a fair price for those items would be I would greatly appreciate it. Out of curiousity, I am wondering how much they cost back in the day new. I have seen some NOS items and am wondering what I should be paying for them, the prices are all over the place on ebay and considering I will still need to buy other items, like locks, keys, stickers, logos and probably the doors for the saddlebags. I don't want to be overpaying for those items. I am a disabled retiree on a fixed income, so I don't have a lot of money to be overpaying for anything. I haven't found anyone that has everything I need all in one place so I am going to have to piece it all together along with the same for the trunk. I did manage to find a NOS set of saddlebag and trunk mounts, so I am on right track. I would appreciate any help from you.
Thanks

I think your best bet will probably be eBay or craigslist. There may be members on here who have extras but depending on the colour you want and such then you will probably have a better bet finding what you want on one of those sites.

As far as price goes, it can be a crapshoot. For example ive seen single luggage bags for over $100 on eBay, whereas on kijiji (not sure if it exists in the states, I'm in canada) there can be full vetter set ups for $100 like this one - http://m.kijiji.ca/motorcycle-parts...1092170549&ck=CK&from=Search&ts=1438652744259
(If I lived in quebec you can bet id be all over that one)

And another, heres a saddlebag set with key for $45

The closer to you the better because shipping will be high. I think I paid $60 for my bags and another $50 for postage. Don't forget about some of the sites where people are heavily into modifying big bikes into café style bikes. I have gotten a lot of free stuff (just pay postage) that way because people just don't want the things laying around.

As said before, Craig's list and eBay. Seems most people think this stuff is made out of gold, I found a receipt a while back for my dad's Vetter trunk he bought back in the early '80s and he paid $300 for it new back then if I remember correctly.

Well, I am moving along good. I found and ordered the saddlebag mounting hardware that is NOS, still in the box, I should have that by Monday. The guy said he would include some saddlebag door decals and Vetter logos too, as I had mentioned I might not be able to find the parts that had those things included, but I got lucky I guess.Today I went to a local store called Bent Bike, they had advertised on Ebay for a set of NOS saddlebags, and had some NOS doors. But the first set advertised had no keys and probably none of the of the other hardware that would be included with it. After getting there they found a set of saddlebags with all locks, keys and rest of the hardware . The doors came complete, still in the box, and had the decals, also the Vetter logo. So it was great saving on the shipping cost. They still have more if anyone else is looking. They are selling on Ebay. So now all I need to look for is the trunk. If anyone knows where to find a trunk that is in good shape, please let me know. I will post pictures once I have it all together.

Wow, another Washatonian! Bent bike is an awesome place but I've got to be in desperate need to go there as Seattle is 3 hrs one way from me.

There is another Bent Bike in Auburn now, it would probably save you an hour driving time if you are coming from Longview.
