Hi All, I currently have a black V sitting in my daughter's bedroom waiting for spring. Hoping to put it on my 1980 XS1100 Special. I bought a Cibie headlight lens for it to see if I can get a bit more light. Someday would love to find matching Type 54 lowers.

I don't think so--according to Craig's and others' specs, my bike with a V fairing=Type 54 only.

I'm in no rush and do more tinkering than riding. I like the idea of scrounging for deals and then stripping/painting/etc. in my basement.

I could get a pair from ebay for around $100 but I like the idea of rescuing some distressed ones from craiglist, some barn, and fixing/restoring. Which is how I found the V.

Welcome to the forum Bergman! Another XS11, woohoo! Good news is the Type 54 Lowers are easier to find then the Type II's what fit my XS11 with a WJ4. Ill keep my eyes open. You might put a note in the wanted section.
