    My Vetterized Maxim

LED bulbs are cheapest on eBay - 1157 RED bulbs - Make sure you get red not white. Get the SMD or CREE style not the ones with the little mini led "bulbs" that stick out (those are older style and not as bright). LED bulbs should always match the lens they are projecting thru. If you want the...

Best Looking Bike With A Windjammer?

Besides MINE (1982 Yamaha XJ750 Maxim)? Probably the blue GL in the famous "vetter-ized" poster.

    Blank Canvas

I agree that ride looks good with the hard vetter bags :)

    Cycle Sound Question

Pre-painted poor view of those polk speaker covers. I'm sure I have better somewhere, or run to basement to take a dusty photo...

    Seen this Vetter Trunk?

Although, my intent was not to keep it stock, the led rear lights and trunk's led side markers/reflectors look like they could be "modern" stock items IMHO. (The amber light bar on saddlebags obviously don't look stock). Click for larger

    Seen this Vetter Trunk?

I wish I had thought of or seen those round style lights. Then instead of chopping up the trunk as much for the ovals, I might have just made larger circles for new round lights. Oh well...

    Cycle Sound Question

If the tweeter is the center cone area then yes. The original CycleSound covers do not fit over the tweeter cone. I wasn't going for stock look, just functional.

    Cycle Sound Question

FYI: You need to use the Polk Audio Speaker covers not the stock CycleSound or VetterSound covers if you buy them. ;) I painted mine black.

    Seen this Vetter Trunk?

I put 6" oval LED semi trailer lights in mine similar to the above photo. The extra 2 lights above look like more semi trailer lights added by an owner.

    1996 Kawasaki KZ1000P Police Issue

My 4 Vetter pieces started out white. It almost made my bike look like a police bike :) I like that paint/striping on the tank. It's real close to the designs I was trying to work out for my tank to complement the custom striping I put on the Vetter pieces. Here's some early paint/striping...

    1981 Honda CBX1000-B Wow!

My 82 Yamaha XJ750 Maxim has the 85mph speedo. Not that I need to go any faster than 75 anyways...

    Harley Davidson

IF I could afford a Harley, I MIGHT want one... More likely to get a Victory Vision Tour or Star Venture Royal first... I do like the look of the NightRod but NOT the forward controls. Apparently they only made mid controls for 1 or 2 years :(

    Liberator

I'm confused by that site post. Besides the fairing, the thing looks nothing like a Harley. Say anything to make a buck and attract HD fans I suppose.

Is that just dirt and dust or was it used and not NOS?

    Vetter Designed Police Fairings?

Other than being inferior copies, why did all the "copy cat" manufactures disappear? Especially after the fire and post-craig bankruptcy of the company? You'd think one of the copy cats would have survived and making fairing and/or parts for a while...

    Vetter Designed Police Fairings?

I like the color photo above with the red/blue stem mounted lights. That would be great for some modern off road LED lights :)

    Vetter deal of my life!

Grats - I grabbed 2 sets w/o radio shell (and only one had lowers) for $100 each - Thus began my addiction :)

I'm jealous of the Terraplane - I might never use it but I'd love to have one in my garage!

    CycleSound Shells - Modern componets?

I have no idea how to tune custom amps/dsp but if you find something that works with the POLK speakers and our enclosures off the shelf let us know. I'd even be willing to mount the amp inside the trunk. Granted that's even more wires running in and out of my trunks... Also if you have any...
