You can pull a rear wheel/tire with the final drive and shocks still connected? That would be nice to do. I have to rip my rear end apart completely in order to remove the wheel/tire.

Yeah Brian, the XS1100 rear comes apart so nice. You can literally get the back tire off in 10 min if you have done it before. I had not done one, so it took me about 20 min or so. Very easy though.
