Hi from New Zealand

Hi there, I live in New Zealand. I'm 59 years old. Back when I was around 19 and training as a motorcycle mechanic I came across an article in an American bike magazine featuring the Vetter Terraplane. I decided I wanted one, but as far as I knew they weren't available here and even if they were I needed one that would mount on the left of my bike as in NZ we drive on the left of the road. There was only one solution.... to build one myself..... so I did. Here it is 40 years later

Very nice. I assume that you imported the Terraplane, and then custom build the mounting brackets. Is that correct?

Good morning Ken, no importation here. This was a total labour of love with everything you see being designed and fabricated by me. To my knowledge Vetter never made a Terraplane for country's where we drive on the left of the road

So you built everything yourself, including the frame, suspension, and the body? I am doubly impressed.

I'd always wondered that, and realised the only way to get one would be hand-build it.
