Hello fellow Vetter and Terraplane enthusiasts,
After admiring the Terraplane since I became aware of Vetter products in the early eighties, I finally found a Terraplane last fall and am just starting to use it now after bike tune-up, insurance paperwork etc. I was looking for one for my XS11, but the this sale required me to buy a Goldwing/Terraplane as a package. I always thought of myself as an XS man, but looks like I have a foot in both camps now. Just as well I didn't sell the Goldwing as I had intended as the cost to set up the XS from scratch would have been quite high I have learned. The Goldwing and Terraplane were origially purchased new together in Michigan. Seems mostly original except for side running light, door handle, and Vetter pop-vents that can be seen in pictures I will post in the gallery. I like the look of a Terraplane without the pop-vents, but perhaps they will be functional for my passenger which will mostly be my dog. I would like to think that the pop vents were installed at the factory as they seem to have a clean pre-paint cut, but that will be hard to determine. They may very well have been installed by the first owner. There have been four owners before me. I have spoken to the previous two. I am looking for some Type 51 lowers. Looking forward to sharing ideas and information with all of you. Mike
