Hello. I'm a newbie here. Question is I just picked up a Terraplane and wanting to attach it to a aftermarket hardtail frame. Is there special mounts, (pic's), needed for a rigid?
I have all mounts for a Kawasaki Voyager that I might sell if not needed.

Welcome to VOG!

As far as I know, there were no factory mounts made for a rigid frame. I don't know that I've seen a Terraplane mounted to a rigid frame, yet. If you want to spend the money, DMC Sidecars would probably be your best bet for getting mounts for the frame. Or you could do custom fabrication as well.

Welcome neighbor,

I have a Terraplane also, but can't answer your questions. A general consensus is there were less than 1000 made and I imagine most were delivered with mounts for the most popular "big" bikes of the time. Mounting to anything else is beyond my skill set (and possibly mounting to the bike I have original mounts for.:()

I would imagine custom mounts will be required. Depending on your skill set you could;

1. Modify the ones you have to work.
2. Fabricate new mounts.
3. Check with DMC Sidecars. From another thread, if they can help you, it won't be cheep!

I have yet to mount or use my Terraplane, unsure if I ever will, but it ain't hurting a thing right were it is.
