Rain sucks, but we wouldn't be here without it.

It was that way for a solid month. Now we're in the mid to upper 90's. I'd gladly take the rain again.

When on the road ya just ride. I have left my house many times in the rain because I wanted to ride and have a full Vetter on.To me is not to be scared of the rain but just be extra careful and have good tires

Oh yeah, a car tire on the back of the bike helps with handling too.

I'll pass on riding in the rain. I spent 35 years working in whatever mother nature threw at me (besides hurricanes and tornadoes) not anymore.

Both... mounted on the rim and then, well bolted, to the bike.

The rear wheel on a 1200 GoldWing is 150/90-15. That tire is a 165-80R 15. I hope to get more than 20k miles out of it. I am putting a 1200 drive train on my 1100 so I can do the same thing with that bike too.

I traded a 1984 goldwing in on this CB1100. The 84 was getting to heavy for me to wrestle around.

Nice bike Brian. A fella here has a 84 factory original naked goldwing that he literally found in a barn. It had less than 3500 miles. the dude sold it to him for 2,000 dollars. I wish I had that kind of luck.
Anyway I don't have many pictures of my bike due to a house fire. Here is a couple. I used the bike as a transporter for my RC stuff. I carried a 2000 watt generator, battery charging station, tools and 2 helicopters. The smaller heli fit in the trunk. The larger one sat on the false tank, tail on dash above the gauges, the nose between my legs.
I had a 40 mile round trip to the RC field.

I am sure the RC heli on the faux tank got a few looks as you were riding down the road...
I bought my 84 Standard in 2014. It had 7,100 miles on the dial and I paid $2600 for it. Since then I've put another 8,000 miles on it. I try to do most of my riding on my 81 1100, but I am currently working on it. I am putting a 1200 motor with a single carb, 1200 swingarm, and 1200 rear wheel with a car tire on it.

Yes it did get a lot of double takes. So did the 6 foot inflatable pontoon boat that I tied on the bike to go fish the high lakes in the summer.

We've been hitting 100+ lately. Thankfully I'm working nights again, so I get to sleep during the day and enjoy the nice 70-80's at night
