trying to mount VETTER trunk to a 79 KZ1300...NEED HARDWARE HELP Ya'll

I BELIEVE ITS THE HARDEST PART IN THE WORLD TO FIND NEXT TO A BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER ON THIS PARTICULAR MODEL...BIKE HAS BAGS ALREADY BUT WANT TO ADD THE TRUNK.

The luggage rack in the picture is made by K&G enterprises. They show up on evil-bay quite often. The problem is the cost for the condition that they are usually in. The good thing is, they are pretty much universal.

The tubes are adjustable and there is a set screw that locks them in place. That is the little dimple that you see sticking out the bottom about 3 inches forward of the bend. To adjust the width, you need to loosen two bolts and spread the side tubes apart and then tighten the two bolts again.

The one I have on my GL1200 is spread almost as wide as it gets, and stretched almost as long as it gets and I can still safely lift on it to get the bike on the center stand.

Type "Vetter" into ebay and see what comes up... Several listed from $100 of less. I can't say I would pay $100 for one though.

I nearly bought one, an empty instrument shell, but complete with front plate. The seller tried to gouge me for postage though, and he went all quiet when I pointed it out.
