I took my stock 1982 Yamaha XJ750J Maxim and fully vetterized it with a mix of stock and custom brackets.

The bike is currently in pieces, but here are some pics before the disassembly and a move.

My Girl "Val the LED Lady" the day I bought her. All naked without her new fat ass and implanted headlights. :)

The reflective decals are pretty darn cool!

You might consider using the "upload a file" option. It stores all the images on the server rather than misc. websites. It's great for archiving information. Sometimes a user disappears and they shut down the account linked to the images and then we have no more cool pics to go with the post. Plus, you also have access to your own photo gallery on the site. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. You are welcome to use whatever you are comfortable with, some folks don't know the uploader is there.

LEDs are a must in the Vetter trunk to cut down on the battery drain from the extra lighting. I had to replace the 1157 bulbs with LEDs cause the bikes stator couldn't handle the extra load with the radio.

Yes the trunk light sure draw. Where mite one find these L<E<D bulbs? Maybe they also have them for the gauges as well. Change out as much as I can. Ironic cause I asked this question just tonight..

I am interested in the LED replacement too. On my XS I need all the power I can get. I am running some external amplification, small but still draws power. Please tell us the secret Tom.

LED bulbs are cheapest on eBay - 1157 RED bulbs - Make sure you get red not white. Get the SMD or CREE style not the ones with the little mini led "bulbs" that stick out (those are older style and not as bright).

LED bulbs should always match the lens they are projecting thru.

If you want the 6" oval style semi trailer lights you can get them from several sources: Amazon, eBay, Farm and Fleet type stores, local truck stops/gas stations, etc. I bought mine locally so I could replace them quicker when needed. (LED bulbs may last 10 years but the wiring and solder they assemble them with rarely do).

Cluster / gage / idiot indicator bulbs can also be replaced with LEDs. Each bike is different, so it would be best to take the cluster apart and find out what type of bulb you need. (You may have to use the older bulb style leds based on size).

Wow thanks. I just had a look at the form an pictures. I'm just wondering what the Final (est) draw is. Cause I have a full dresser 4 rear lights in the trunk run stop. plus the rear bike tail 2 running turn fairing, gauges ect ect ect. how is the draw in your opinion/ cause them bikes have poor amp output as we know. I'm going to change mine out for sure.. Otherwise bigger alternator (sigh) Do they have LED's for the fuel charge temp tack speedo?

The answer is 1157LED lights from O'Reilly's for $16.99 a pair. And yes Paul they do carry 94LED bulbs for the instrument gauges too!

Yes, thank you. Terraplane Tom. 1157 an 94 LED from O'Reilly. +1

plenty of cheaper and better bulbs on ebay if you're into that kinda fancy internets thing :)

I know, it is just that AutoBone and AvalancheAuto have a monopoly in my area and it would be nice to have another choice.

Internet orders, yea I can do that to. On the bulbs There Is a truck stop close with a repair shop.

AutoZone carries them too. I bought a set from there when the other place was sold out.
