Thanks Brian. I actually got the idea from looking at another owners bike that was similar, I just took a different approach. As it turns out the down post supports were the only logical method to brace the fairing given the configuration of the VT1100 Frame. I had another option that may have worked leveraging the anchor bolt for the radiator but I didn't think it would provide the needed support.
Thanks! The bike rides great. There is a lot of stability in the front end that I didn't get with the stock windshield, as good as it is. The front end balance is not bad either, I don't notice it being funky and top heavy at all. Overall, I am very pleased with it.
Thanks! I turned out a lot better than I thought it would. I bought a newer Windjammer 4 off of Craig's list the other day that I will restore and color match to the bike. Hopefully it will look as good or better.
