Hopefully going to have the time to mount the SS later this week and a couple of questions please, does a WJ have a rubber vibration gasket between the bottom of the fairing and the top of the frame mounting bars normally? If so I will make a couple. Also is there normally plastic or rubber washers under the 4 M6 mounting bolts on the fairing?

Not sure if mine is correct, but I did not have anything between the fairing and the mount. I didn't like the idea of metal against plastic so I used a bicycle inner tube and cut a piece to fit my needs. Take a look at page 9, step 4. Installing the Windjammer.

The rubber washers go between the steel washer and the fairing. For this reason, I did not like the plastic against metal.

Thanks for the info, Rickman use a thick rubber gasket between fairing and frame and I think I have a couple of spares somewhere I can punch an extra hole in and use, I will get some rubber washers for the frame bolts.

To me it sounds like a good idea, I did what Brian did for mine. As metal of plastic doesn't sound to great.
